Concern at the lack of affordable housing available in the Jeffreyston, Cresselly, Cresswell Quay, Loveston and Yerbeston areas is being voiced by local councillors.
Jeffreyston Community Council would like to see more properties for local people wishing to work or live in the area, and is taking positive action.
A local Housing Needs Survey, to plan future housing provision within the community, is now going to be carried out.
The community council has been working with Pembrokeshire's rural housing enabler, Matthew Owens, to produce the survey which is being distributed to every household in the community and will give local peoople the opportunity to express their views on housing issues in the area.
Said Mr Owens: "People with residential, family or employment links to the Jeffreyston Community Council area, who are not currently living in the area but would like, or need to, can also request a questionnaire.
"In the interest of the whole community, it is very important that this questionnaire is completed and returned."
More information is available from Mr Owens on telephone 01437 774769 (or e-mail matthew.owens@rhe-pembs.co.uk).
