Two community facilities in Milford Haven - the Pill Social Centre and Herbrandston Church Hall and community centre - have each benefited from £5,000 funding presented by South Hook LNG.
The presentations were made by South Hook project manager, Jorge Valvo, and construction manager, Don Rees.
The cheques were the first to be presented in a tranche of South Hook's community funding programme.
County and town councillor Anne Hughes, a trustee of the Pill Social Centre, said: "The money will go towards a new roof for the hall.
"We desperately need this new roof and have to raise £35,000. The South Hook donation will help considerably and we will now also be looking towards other avenues of funding."
If anyone can help they can contact Cllr Hughes on 01646 693390.
Also very welcome was the funding towards the Herbrandston church hall.
Josie Owens, one of the church wardens, said: "This money will help us a great deal and we are most grateful for the donation."
