A TALENTED Burton artist is currently exhibiting an impressive selection of her work at the Joanna Field Gallery at The Torch Theatre.
Trisha Jones, of Greenwater, Burton Ferry, is showing 12 of her pieces throughout May.
The mother-of-two modestly explains her inspiration, saying: "I never work from a painting or photograph, if I see something I like I take a mental shot and my work is my interpretation of that subject.
"I am obsessed with colour and texture, I suppose my paintings are abstract but with some form."
Working on large canvasses Trisha explains the process of entwining layers of texture paste, tissue paper and paint to give her pieces a unique look.
Drawing her inspiration from nature and landscapes, she never names her pieces because she feels people should interpret them in their own way.
Despite being relatively new to the art world Trisha's painting already adorns the walls of several homes and businesses around the county.
