Gwendoline Smith has an extra special treat in store for her today (Wednesday).
She is among a select group of people who will have lunch with the Queen at Buckingham Palace. The event is part of the Queen's 80th birthday celebrations.
People born on the same day as her - April 21st, 1926 - were invited to put their names forward for the lunch.
Mrs Smith was nominated by daughter Diane Cole, of Neyland, and was one of only two lucky people from west Wales chosen to attend.
Diane, who will also be at the lunch, thought her mother deserved a treat.
During the past 18 months, Mrs Smith has lost her husband Ted and her 57-year-old son Tony, and one of her daughters is suffering from a terminal illness.
Born in Neyland, Mrs Smith moved with her family to Johnston and then to Haverfordwest. She met and married Ted, a Geordie, when he was stationed in Pembroke-shire during the Second World War.
They had ten children, and the family lived in Coronation Avenue, Haverfordwest, for 50 years. Mrs Smith also has 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing the Queen and sitting down to a lovely lunch at Buckingham Palace," said Mrs Smith. "But I'm not sure whether I will get the chance to see the Queen's corgies."
