38News: Dylan with pic
A Carmarthenshire county councillor was thrilled after a Belgian film crew made their way to Laugharne last week to capture Dylan Thomass town on film.
The councils streetworks officers helped smooth the way for the crew as they shot footage of the area for a continental version of the Holiday programme.
Belgian viewers will be able to see reports on Laugharne beauty spots, including the famous Dylan Thomas Boathouse.
Laugharne councillor Cyril Roberts said: Its great for the community of Laugharne that a television company has travelled from Europe to find out about the area, and about one of Waless best ever poets. It should give a lift to tourism in the town as well as the rest of Carmarthenshire.
If people in Belgium are watching Laugharne then its good news for the local tourist industry.
The programme is one of ten charting the progress of presenters touring around Europe by motorbike. It will be shown on Belgian television next year.
