Ammanford 3 Milford United 1
Ill discipline and flared tempers cost Milford United dear on the weekend after they let their unbeaten run slip at the hands of Ammanford.
The Robins had strung a good series of results together of late and looked to be doing the same on Saturday until they saw red in the second half with two players sent off.
The first half was a different story altogether however as they began with high hopes of recording another victory.
They took the lead after only ten minutes when Nathan Davies and Mickie Lewis combined well down the right to put Richie Adams clear and the in-form striker was in no doubt about how to put the goal away.
With confidence soaring they created chances at will and according to Mickie Lewis:
We shouldve killed em off. Unfortunately for them they did not and Ammanford equalised after 35 minutes.
It all went wrong after the break when the Robins lost their discipline and firstly Paul McMuruis was sent off for a second bookable offence and they quickly took the lead and then Sean Cresser was dismissed for fighting. Naturally, Ammanford were not going to let the opportunity of playing against nine men slip and they slammed in a third passed Mark Poole with 15 minutes to go.
Milfords next game is against Ebbw Vale away next Saturday in the cup competition.
