GETTING the right people into a business can make a real difference to the future success of that business.
Recruiting staff is never an easy process - and things are made even more difficult for small rural businesses whose travel-to-work area is limited and who cannot afford to offer financial incentives to attract people from further afield.
People who excel at what they do have the potential to make a significant contribution to the overall performance - and profitability - of the business. Often this requires the business making some investment in training - both in terms of time and money. Managers and proprietors of small businesses often do not have the time, or perhaps the experience, to properly analyse training needs and source appropriate providers.
The good news is that there is plenty of help available for small businesses to support them in recruiting and training new staff, and in implementing a skills development programme for existing staff that will deliver real bottom-line benefits to the business.
Pembrokeshire Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite local businesses to attend a FREE event sponsored jointly by the Employment Service and ELWa at the Wolfscastle Hotel on Wednesday, November 28th, from 6 pm onwards.
After a light buffet, the event will start with a series of short presentations, followed by an open forum when the panel of speakers will take questions from the floor.
There will also be a number of information stands with experts on hand to deal with specific inquiries and give advice to individual organisations. This event will provide practical solutions to very real problems - so go along, meet the experts and get some help.
