A study into the economic impact of Haverfordwest Airport, Withybush, is under way.
It will be conducted by Amey Vectra Ltd, suppliers of operational risk management services to the public and private sectors world-wide. The aim of the feasibility study, on behalf of Pembrokeshire County Council and the Welsh Development Agency, is to assess the impact of the development of the airport, the growth of indigenous business and tourism and attraction of inward investment. Part of the study includes a market assessment and catchments area analysis of the airport and consultation with identified businesses and organisations in the area. This will enable an assessment of the commercial needs from local businesses and organisations and to further assist both the WDA and Pembrokeshire County Council in any proposed development plans for the airport and businesses in the area.
