An appeal against a decision to force estate agents, West Wales Properties, to tone down the colour of its Haverfordwest building will be heard early next year.
Pembrokeshire County Council planning officers had objected to the Victorian Blue colour of the listed building in Victoria Place. They issued an enforcement notice to force the estate agents to change the colour. But the company - with strong public support - appealed to the Welsh Assembly. Written statements have been presented and a planning inspector will now hear the arguments at a hearing in County Hall, Haverfordwest, on January 8th. Interested groups or individuals can present their views to the hearing at the inspectors discretion.
Written views can be submitted, by December 18th, to: The Planning Inspectorate, Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF1 3NQ. Any observations will be disclosed to the parties and may be read out at the hearing.
