The Trailblazers National championships held at Stoneleigh in August saw many competitiors from west and South Wales, who qualified at Moor Farm.

The greatest success story was Sally Potter and Banderlera who received the overall championship prize in the Junior Novice Dressage competition.

In the showjumping competition Bethan Evans was runner up in the Junior 95 cms competition on the pony Langarne Caroline.

Other local prize winners were - Senior Dressage - Cheryllann Hogan - My Boy Lennox and V. Gristwood-Inka (Preliminary), Jill Ridge-Thomas and Shelley Harris - Cosmic Carnival (Novice), Nicole Wayman - Skeet (Elementary).

Junior Dressage - Katie Knight - Indiana Jones, Charity Graepel - Oakley Funny feeling, Charllotte Goodwin - Pickety Witch (Preliminary). Victoria Lloyd - Just Tarquin, Katie Knight and Sally Potter (Novice).

In the showjumping section Zoe Davies came fourth in the Junior Scurry and Bethan Evans Reserve Champion in the 95 cms

Sophie Williams - Ballinteskin Diamond was 8th in the Senior 85 cms.

All finalists had a very enjoyable time at Stoneleigh Park in a friendly, helpful atmosphere.

The Trailblazers competition was established in 2001, as a competition structure to encourage unaffiliated riders. A series of first round competitions are held at Moor Farm where dressage scores of over 58% and a double clear round in showjumping, allow competitors to compete in the semi finals for the first four placings which qualify for the national championships st Stoneleigh.

The first round dressage competitions conclude on November 20th and the showjumping is on October 30th and November 27th at Moor Farm.
