Pembrokeshire Football League Division One Hakin United 3 Tenby 2
In a topsy-turvy encounter, table-toppers Hakin secured three more points but were made to sweat near the end by a spirited Tenby side.
The home side dominated most of the first half but failed to put away their chances. They finally broke the deadlock just before half time when Tenby's Luke Askew was sent off for handling the ball on the line.
Paul Jones dispatched the penalty to make it 1-0 at the break.
Within ten minutes of the re-start Jones doubled his tally for the afternoon and gave Hakin a nice cushion against ten-men Tenby. And 2-0 quickly became 3-0 when Nigel Armstrong headed home from a corner on the hour mark.
That would probably have been that had the referee not evened things up by sending off Bruce Wisby for dissent after he'd reacted angrily to a tough Tenby tackle.
At ten-a-side Tenby grew in confidence and grabbed a goal back on 75 minutes when a free kick was deflected into his own net by Hakin's Gary Dawes.
And with ten minutes remaining the visitors narrowed the deficit to just one goal through Jack Christopher, but Hakin hung on for a deserved win, in a game they dominated, and stay top.
