Haverfordwest singer Anne-Marie Riley will have the audience of her dreams on Saturday, November 6th.
She will be singing the Welsh National Anthem before the Wales v South Africa rugby international at a packed Millennium Stadium. And she will also be watched by TV viewers around the world.
Anne-Marie is following in the footsteps of young Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, who shot to fame after her appearance at the stadium.
"I've been told that there could be an audience of 60 million," said Anne-Marie. "I am really excited and quite nervous, but I will be singing with Owen Money so it won't be too bad."
Anne-Marie's appearance was arranged by Rupert Moon, former Welsh rugby international and now events manager for the Millennium Stadium.
She will also be modelling the new Wales rugby shirt during publicity photo shoots. Winner of the Milford Mercury talent contest in 2002, Anne-Marie has featured on Owen Money's television talent show Just Up Your Street.
Owen is delighted that the singing discovery will be appearing with him in the pantomime Aladdin. Anne-Marie plays the role of the Princess and rehearsals have already begun for the pantomime, which will be touring south Wales.
The talented young singer has also appeared in several Texaco-sponsored concerts with Cor Meibion de Cymru and the American country and western group Cathead Dooley.
So impressed were they that they invited her earlier this year to Macon, Georgia, to take part in the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.
Anne-Marie was soloist at the recent funeral of Lord Parry of Neyland, whom she regarded as an 'honorary grandfather' and she gave a moving musical tribute.
