LIVE PREVIEW: Eduardo Niebla Theatr Mwldan, Thursday, October 28th, 7.30pm
Theatr Mwldan is hosting world-class virtuoso Spanish guitarist and composer Eduardo Niebla for his first Mwldan performance.
Eduardo was born in Tangiers to Andalusian parents in 1955 and is the seventh son of a seventh son, regarded in mythology as a magical son.
He has become a powerful force on the British and international music scene, influencing the trend for fusion and acoustic music across the world, while always remaining true to his humble roots.
Eduardo, known as one of the most brilliant and emotive performers, fuses flamenco gypsy jazz with Arabic, Indian, Latin and classical influences.
Over the last 30 years, Eduardo has collaborated with top artists from the pop, jazz and world music traditions.
As well as numerous international tours, his concert appearances have included at the Olympic Games, Greece, and at Glastonbury.
He has released over 22 CDs of his own compositions, featuring an array of internationally acclaimed musicians, including the spiritual Indian singer and percussionist Paban Das Baul.
He has also collaborated with many international musicians on their recordings, including maestro bamboo flute player Deepak Ram. He has also worked with Craig David, George Michael and Belinda Carlisle.
