PEMBROKESHIRE may seem a long way from Silverstone, but one Haverfordwest youngster is already racing towards that famous chequered flag.
James Bevan, of City Road, was recently awarded first place in the Class One 50cc quad bike category at a Preseli Motor Club presentation, despite being just five years old.
James has been riding quads since his fourth birthday and has already notched up 28 trophies.
James spent this season taking part in Class One events but is now looking forward to next year when he will be entering Class Two races on his new 50cc Buzz bike.
He has already given his new mean machine a run-out, entering the Narberth Charity Grasstracking events this summer.
Credit for James' meteoric rise must go to his mechanic John Rees, of Crundale.
