Theatre Genedlaethol, The National Touring Company for Wales, will be performing its very successful Welsh language version of Romeo and Juliet, at Theatr Mwldan, this evening (Wednesday) and tomorrow evening (Thursday), starting at 7.30pm.

So was Romeo and Juliet really a story about love at first sight? Feuds? Infatuation? Lust? Hastiness? Or was it just a selfish act of love, which lead to so much pain, sorrow, anger and death. You decide.

This is the first professional company to produce a Shakespeare classic in Welsh. Featuring lyrical translation, by T. J. Jones, and staged in a contemporary theatrical style, under the direction of Cefin Roberts, you'll be given a new insight into the age-old themes of love and hate, enmity and compromise.

Tickets cost £8, £7 for concessions, and can be booked in advance from the box office. Tonight, at 6.30pm, Theatr Genedlathol will be hosting a free pre -show talk for Welsh learners in support of their version of Romeo and Juliet in Theatr Mwldan.
