PEMBROKESHIRE'S very own pop princess, Katie Flood, will be hosting a special charity concert, showcasing a wealth of local talent.

The Pembrokeshire Idol winner, whose debut album Waterfall, is currently on sale, has brought together a variety of acts for the charity event on June 10th.

One hundred per cent of the show's proceeds will go to the chemotherapy day hospital, ward ten, Withybush Hospital, a good cause that Katie has been a fervent supporter of since her career took off last August.

Her album has so far raised £1,300 for the day hospital and the CD will be available to buy on the night to help boost proceeds.

The show, sponsored by the Western Telegraph, E.M.U, Vaughans. Walton West Farm Cottages, Haverfordwest Coin Machine and Jam Shop, will be compered by local broadcaster and journalist BB Skone, who has actively promoted the local music scene for many years.

Katie will be joined on stage at the Showground Pavilion, Haverfordwest, by acts including harmony group Cherish, who have recently reunited for the event; local dance group Stardance; Thump, also known as Home-Made, who have taken percussion back to basics with an original and energetic act; the Clare Harrison Singers; Sounds Recycled, the oldest boy band in Pembrokeshire; The Jam Shop band, featuring some of the county's finest musicians and singing duo Jodie and Melissa.

This is one evening you won't want to miss!

Tickets cost £5, £3 for children, and are available from the Jam Shop and Colours Hair Design, Haverfordwest.

We have a pair tickets to give away to one lucky reader. To win, name Katie Flood's debut album.
