Operating helicopters from the recently-refurbished Helicomplex at Haverfordwest Airport is Helicharter Wales.
With its Jet Ranger helicopter, it offers a variety of services. These include pleasure flights, birthday and other parties, while gift vouchers for trips are also available. You can get your marriage off to a flying start by flying to the church or heading off on honeymoon in style.
The Bell Jet Ranger, which seats four passengers, is available for corporate charter or corporate entertainment events. Trips can be organised to horse racing venues, motor racing or other events. And businesses have chartered the helicopter for industrial aerial surveys, aerial filming and photography.
Photographer Norman Owen took the opportunity of hitching a ride to take aerial shots of the airfield.
The professional team which operates Helicharter Wales includes Alison Belton, director; Captain Colin Larner, commercial pilot; Captain Phill Hall-Davis, Flight Operations Assistant; Captain Mike Green, chief pilot; Steve Payne-Roberts, maintenance manager; Allison Williams, flight crew (bookings); Mary Jones, flight crew, and Shirley Owens, flight crew.
