WITH a traffic review of Pembroke Dock due to take place in 2006, and an experimental one-way system being introduced in Dimond Street next week, the Western Telegraph took to the streets to find out what you think of traffic in the town.
Derek Anderson, aged 27, Hamilton Court. "I think the one-way system in Dimond Street will help congestion, but I would also like to see less traffic as there are always a lot of kids running about around here. Maybe there should be disabled parking only, as at the moment there are never any spaces by the banks or shops."
Terrance Butler, aged 65, Front Street. "I don't believe the road works are that bad, it's just something that's got to be done, I suppose. I would imagine the changes will improve traffic in the area, although I don't think it's worse than anywhere else."
Karen Rees, aged 31, Kavanagh Court. "Cars are just parked all over the place and it causes a lot of congestion, it gets a bit chaotic around the centre during busy times of the day. I don't think the one-way system will help though."
Jean Drew, aged 50, Bush Street. "I'm not bothered by the road works, I can still get to where I need to go. I would like to see slower traffic in residential areas and I think the one-way system is a good idea.
