As predicted by Telegraph Sport last week, Solva's very own Premiership star Simon Davies has signed for Everton from Tottenham Hotspur.
The deal is worth an initial £3.5m but that could rise to £4m, depending on performance bonuses.
The midfielder joined Tottenham from Peterborough in January 2000 and made his Spurs debut against Liverpool in April 2000.
He went on to make 154 appearances, scoring 24 goals but he has endured an injury-plagued past few seasons at White Hart Lane.
