Forty years of music-making and fund-raising by a Pembrokeshire mixed choir is to be celebrated tomorrow (Saturday) with a concert given by members past and present.
The Griffon Choir will be conducted by its president, Grant Llewellyn, when it stages the important performance.
"This is a very exciting time for the choir," said its musical director, Judy McGilloway.
"We have not just enjoyed four decades of friendship and making music, but we have also helped many organisations to raise thousands of pounds for their good causes over the years.
The choir was originally established in 1970 by a group of Pembroke Power Station workers, when it was known as the Griffon Singers. Since then, well over a hundred men and women have raised their voices in song with the Griffons, who currently number around 45.
As well as countless performances in Pembrokeshire, the choir has made three visits to Pembroke's twin town of Bergen in Germany, and members have also sung in the Royal Albert Hall at the popular Thousand Voices concerts.
The celebration concert will take place in St Mary's Church, Tenby tomorrow.
