Six Lenten lunches in Tenby are being held in support of the millions of families worldwide who don't have enough to eat.
The first takes place at St Mary's, Tenby today (Wednesday), with the others at the Salvation Army corps on Wednesday March 3rd and March 24th, St Johns' on March 10th and 31st and St Mary's on March 17th.
Tenby's Christian Aid Committee is arranging the lunches - where a meagre repast of soup, a roll and a cuppa is £3, or more. All the money raised will be sent to help people in the developing world.
The Rev Michael John, the town's vicar and one of the organisers, said the lunches were an enjoyable opportunity to join in the spiritual journey of Lent with other people.
'It's also a happy social occasion and everyone is warmly welcome', he added.
Anyone who hasn't time for lunch can always leave a donation at the door, or at 9 Crackwell Street, Tenby, SA70 7HA.
