Dear Editor

To improve rail services to Fishguard, why not simply have the same train calling at both Milford Haven and Fishguard?

It’s not as far-fetched as it sounds.

As evidenced on our recent holiday to Scotland, the train on Britain’s most northerly line calls at Thurso (a branch off the main line), immediately returns to the junction station and then continues on to Wick.

Returning, it does the same thing in reverse. The distances are broadly the same as here.

The added bonus is that you get a service from Milford Haven to Fishguard. It only takes imagination.
