Fishguard Leisure Centre has been credited with an award for its good practice and management.
The award came from QUEST – the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure, which ranked the leisure centre amongst the best in the country, It received the joint highest score for a leisure centre situated on a school site in Wales, along with Crymych Leisure Centre, and the third highest overall in the country.
Staff were presented with the award by Councillor Rob Lewis, cabinet member for sport and leisure.
Darren Bowen, Fishguard leisure centre manager, said: “Customer satisfaction is close to the heart of all our staff. We take a pride in the facility’s appearance and in the service we offer.
“The staff are proud of their achievements and have shown a real commitment to improvement.”
