High-flying debater Josephine Maidment has jetted out to the middle east to talk for Wales.
Josephine, aged 17, of Robeston Wathen, is currently in Qatar at the World Schools Debating Championships, where she is one of just five members of the Welsh team.
The Ysgol Dyffryn Taf sixth-former and her teammates flew out last Monday for an exciting ten days of challenging debates.
This will be the largest contest in the 22-year history of the championships, attracting 58 teams from all over the globe.
Josephine has 12-year-old twin sisters, Alex and Evie, who are also keen debaters, taking part in the Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club’s Youth Speaks competition. The club has shown great support to Josephine, alongside Ysgol Dyffryn Taf.
She has been asked to contribute a minimum of £300 towards her costs of attending the championships, and local supporters who would like to offer sponsorship can contact her parents on 01834 861094.
