An 84-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspect package found outside Bush Street Dental Surgery on Sunday.
The package was spotted outside the Pembroke Dock surgery at around 9.45pm. A member of the public then alerted staff at the Bush Tavern.
Residents were evacuated from the area at around 10.30pm and were not allowed back until 6.15am, yesterday (Monday) morning.
By then an army bomb disposal unit had conducted a controlled explosion of the package, which police said turned out to be a ‘hoax device’.
The pensioner is currently being held at Haverfordwest police station.
Anyone with any information about the incident can contact the incident room at Pembroke Dock police station on 101.
