Pembrokeshire’s doyen of the didgeridoo will be launching a series of free music workshops in north Pembrokeshire on Sunday.
Local singer-songwriter Mike Chant will be running a relaxed and informal open session between 2pm and 8pm in the Garden Room at Llys Meddyg, Newport, the first of a series of Sunday sessions at the hotel.
Mike is a long established and well known local musician who frequently wows the crowds with his vocals, guitar and didgeridoo playing.
As well as performing his songs, he will also be running a free workshop demonstration during the course of the afternoon, where participants can have a go at playing and learning about the didgeridoo. He will also offer tips on guitar playing and other aspects of music.
Participants are invited to bring a song or an instrument, soak up the ambience and share in the music.
Entry to the music event and workshop is free and the organisers promise a warm welcome and family atmosphere.
“This will be a great opportunity to meet up with and join local musicians in a relaxed and informal setting,” said organiser Becky Benson.
“We also hope to provide a platform for people to get up and have a go.”
A special menu will be on offer between 12.30pm and 8pm.
The Lunch Out music sessions will then be held every Sunday afternoon from 2pm until 8pm.
