Strike action by pilots and launch crews at Milford Haven Port Authority (MHPA) looks set to go ahead next week as talks between both sides make 'insufficient progress.'
MHPA confirmed it had received formal notification from the Unite Trade Union that members intend to take part in three days of industrial action.
A complete withdrawal of labour is scheduled to take place next Thursday, February 18th and Friday, February 19th, with 'work to rule' action planned for Saturday, February 20th.
Emergency cover would still be provided.
MHPA Chief Executive Ted Sangster said discussions were continuing and the authority is committed to resolving the dispute through dialogue.
Mr Sangster said: "The authority is disappointed that industrial action is planned which could potentially damage the port’s reputation, impact on customers and the wider needs of the country but is hopeful that a resolution can be agreed at the meeting and has indicated that it is prepared to go to binding arbitration, if necessary."
Talks will continue on Monday between both sides and ACAS, the independent conciliation service, to resolve the dispute before Thursday's strike action.
The port of Milford Haven currently provides 20% of the UK’s petrol and diesel and 25% of the UK gas production.
