Friends of Theatr Gwaun will hold their inaugural meeting at the Fishguard theatre this evening (Friday).
The group was recently set up to ensure that Fishguard's Theatr Gwaun flourishes, following rumours about possible closure.
An initial meeting at the theatre on January 26th, to gauge opinion and to establish a way forward, attracted over 40 people, most of these members of the many groups which use the theatre.
"There has been overwhelming support to constitute a Friends of the Theatre group," said June Cooper and Jill Edge who called the meeting.
The group will be established at tonight's meeting, which will take place at the theatre at 8pm.
Anyone wishing to register their support or wishing to attend should contact Friends of Theatr Gwaun at Theatr Gwaun, West St, Fishguard SA 65 9AD 01348 873421 or theatrgwaun@pembrokeshire.gov.uk.
