A Haverfordwest man who called two PCSO officers 'scumbag dogs in fluorescent jackets' refused to apologise for his actions when he appeared in court on Tuesday.
Paul Jukes, of Flat 3, 10 Upper Market Street, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Haverfordwest magistrates court heard how Jukes 'all of a sudden' became abusive towards two PCSOs at the Oak Inn on St Thomas Green on Thursday, January 14th.
Jukes called them 'scumbag dogs in fluorescent jackets' and prosecutor David Weale said the two PSCOs were left shocked and embarrassed at the incident.
The court heard how a barman at the Oak Inn apologised for Jukes' behaviour. However Jukes continued to swear and use abusive language towards the PCSOs leaving them feeling uneasy.
Police officers arrived at the scene and the 42-year-old, who has two previous convictions for assaulting police officers, was arrested.
Defending himself, Jukes told the court the evidence was 'over exaggerated' but admitted 'in the main' the account of the incident was true.
When asked by magistrates if he would like to apologise for his actions towards the PCSOs on that day he replied 'no.'
The presiding magistrate said: "Your language and behaviour that day was totally unacceptable."
Jukes was ordered to pay a total of £300 including court costs.
