With less than a month to go before Saundersfoot’s annual St David’s Day Food and Craft Festival, preparations are well in hand for the two-day event.

Now in its ninth year, the festival features more than 30 stalls in a heated marquee on the seafront, offering seasonal Pembrokeshire and Welsh, along with local crafts and goods. And Welsh celebrity chef Angela Gray will be selecting the best of local springtime food to serve up in her cookery demonstrations during the event.

The festival – organised by Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism – would not be complete with its Cawl Cooking Championship of the World ... and Elsewhere.

The winner is decided by the vote of the public, who are invited to “cwm cawling” at ten local eating establishments. The cawl trail takes place between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, February 27th, when the marquee will be open between 10am and 8pm. The following day the marquee is open between 10am and 4pm.

There are still a few vacancies for stalls – contact Lilian Lang on 01834 812810 for details.
