Two Pembrokeshire men are due to appear at Haverfordwest magistrates court today (Thursday), both charged with heroin related offences.

A 48-year old-man from Clarbeston Road has been charged with possession with intent to supply, and a 29-year-old man from Haverfordwest jointly charged with being concerned in the supply of drugs.

The men were arrested as part of Operation Poker, a multi-agency operation aimed at reducing the harm heroin causes to the local community.

Heroin seized in raids held as part of Operation Poker is said to have had a street value of more than £3000.

"This drug was destined for the streets of Pembrokeshire and could have equated to approximately 3000 deals," said Inspector Andy Phillip.

"We will continue to target dealers to ensure heroin does not get a grip on our communities."
