Newport's spoof rappers Goldie Lookin Chain have been confirmed today (Wednesday) as one of the acts performing at this year's Celtic Blue Rock Festival.
The band who shot to number three in the UK chart in 2004 with their satirical Guns Don't Kill People, Rappers Do are confirmed as headliners alongside 70s band Eddie & The Hot Rods.
Eddie & The Hot Rods are famous for their fast, energetic rock and roll, the band signed to Island Records in the 70s and have racked up three top selling albums and four top forty singles.
As well as these national names the festival will feature a plethora of local Pembrokeshire talent across all four stages.
Local bands and performers are currently submitting their demo discs for inclusion on the line up and bands performing will be announced on the festival website, www.celticbluerock.org, on a regular basis.
The line up for the 2010 festival will see over a hundred bands performing. New and young bands will get the change to play alongside established performers.
The festival is also a fantastic community gathering with many free craft, DJ and music workshops, and stalls selling diverse and delicious food and drink Early bird tickets for this year's festival were snapped up around the festive season and have completely sold out. However lazy bird tickets for the three day festival at just £35 are available until March 1st.
Celtic Blue Rock voluntary chairman, Holly Cross, said: “It’s great that the festival can offer a great deal for families, with kids aged 12 and under attending for free. The camping, parking and entry price for the three days is included in the one-off £35 price.
"We have allocated a larger block of early and lazy bird tickets this year and already over three quarters have been snapped up. It just shows that the Blue Rock Festival is such good value for money”
Any one interested in catching the special deal will need to buy their tickets before the first of March.

There will be a coffee morning this Saturday from 10am to 1pm at the festival office site in Hermon Community Centre with live music and a chance to purchase the tickets.
