Pembroke Arts Club The club will commence its spring session of Thursday evening meetings at Pater Hall in Pembroke Dock on February 4th when Nikki Bosworth will give an introduction to the Pembrokeshire Records Office. Meetings start at 7.30pm and it is hoped that members will give it their full support – new members are always welcome. A varied and interesting programme is planned for the rest of the season.
The AGM is to be held on April 1st and the present chairman and treasurer have both given notice that they will not continue for a further year. Consequently, if new officers cannot be found before that time, there is a real danger that the Arts Club will be unable to continue. The club was founded in 1946 by a group of enthusiastic young people and has continued for the 64 years until now. It will be a big disappointment if sufficient people are not interested in various forms of the arts, including music, literature, painting, history, drama, and anything else connected with the humanities, in order to keep this club alive.
