Dear Editor
— BMA Cymru Wales is preparing a campaign to encourage medical students from Wales who are studying medicine in English, Scottish and Irish medical schools to return to Wales to train as junior doctors after qualification.
We believe that will help alleviate the shortage of junior doctors in Welsh hospitals, and if they enjoy the experience, they may remain here permanently.
If any readers have family members currently studying medicine over the border — or intending to do so next September — I would be very pleased to hear from them.
