Pembrokeshire Care Society and Pembrokeshire Action for the Homeless will be at Haverfordwest’s Morrisons store on Sunday (January 31st) to collect tins and dry food for the homeless.
The organisation is taking part in National Homelessness Day.
The non-perishable food donated will be added to food parcels handed out across the county to people making the move from the streets to rented accommodation.
Pembrokeshire Care Society co-ordinator, Jane Potter, said: “We would be very grateful for any donations of non-perishable foodstuffs, anything from a packet of noodles to an economy pack of toilet rolls would be welcome.
“We are not requesting money, we will not be shaking tins but if the general public would like to shake a tin of beans into our trolley we will be very grateful.”
Volunteers will be collecting at the store from 10am to 4pm.
