Local AM Angela Burns is making an important donation to a Narberth charity shop – a day of her time.
She will be joining volunteers in the town’s new Tenovus shop at Market Street tomorrow, Saturday (January 30th), to show her support to the charity and raise awareness of its work.
Mrs Burns, Conservative member for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire, recently visited the Tenovus mobile support unit, which delivers cancer treatments in counties including Carmarthenshire.
She said: “I was amazed by what a great facility it was, and by the fact it is funded solely on donations and fundraising initiatives.
“I contacted my local Tenovus shop to see what I could do to help and arranged a day to volunteer. I look forward to lending a hand and meeting constituents.”
Anyone who would like to volunteer in the Narberth shop can contact Karen on 01834 862864.
