An appeal to overturn the refusal by Pembrokeshire County Council to grant planning permission of a major housing development in Haverfordwest will reconvene tomorrow.
The appeal, chaired by the planning inspectorate, began this morning but was adjourned for cross party discussion.
The plan for more than 900 homes on land to the south and north of Slade Lane was refused in September 2008, with one of the main issues being road infrastructure.
Since the plans were turned down a holding direction from Transport Wales which prevented the authority granting permission has been removed. The Trunk Roads Agency and council as highway authority are satisfied that the reason for refusal relating to access can be withdrawn.
Representatives of the applicant, Mrs H. D. John, and the council will hold informal discussions to resolve conditions to apply to the application and approve details of a section 106 agreement.
It is hoped that matters can be resolved and presented to the planning inspector tomorrow morning. His report will than be assessed by the Welsh Assembly before a final decision is made.
