A Hakin man appeared before a judge on Friday to deny possessing an imitation revolver.
Mark Anthony Edwards,of Haven Drive, is accused of possessing an RZ combat revolver on November 22nd last year and placing Phyllis Margo Edwards in fear that harm would be caused.
Edwards, aged 41, also denied a charge of assault by beating.
Edwards appeared at Swansea crown court where Judge Peter Heywood adjourned the case for trial.
A three day trial will take place on or soon after April 13th.
Edwards was remanded in custody meanwhile.
