Haverfordwest’s d2 clothing store is one of nearly 45 shops saved from closure following administration fears.
Administrators BDO had announced the possible closure of 76 UK stores, run by the Scottish clothing and footwear chain.
The Bridge Street store will remain open, saving seven jobs, after an offer from the d2 management team, led by Alan Kinney, was accepted.
A. and J. Menswear (Retail) Limited will continue to trade as d2.
Haverfordwest store manger, Gwyn Hughes, who has worked for d2 and its former incarnations for 39 years, said staff were delighted with the news.
“We are one of 43 stores that have been taken over. At the moment we are fortunate to come out of it, and we are all very pleased.
“This has been my only job since school. I am very relieved. We are back with a vengeance,” Mr Hughes added.
