Pembrokeshire County Council is warning that some roads in the county could now face localised flooding, due to a combination of heavy rain and continued thaw.
The only major route still closed after Tuesday's drifts is the B4329 between Brynberian and New Inn.
A council spokesman said that it is hoping to open the road this afternoon, but there are currently problems with the thaw and heavy rain causing a lot of water on the road. One onlooker said the road, which was previously blocked with 13 foot drifts, is "like a river".
Maintenance crews are currently trying to divert the water away from the main road and an update is expected later.
There are also problems with water on the road to Gelli Fawr Hotel and workers have been endeavouring to clear it away.
The road that runs from the B4313 towards Cilgwyn is also causing problems and maintenance crews are working there.
All the other routes in north Pembrokeshire, apart from some very minor roads, are reasonably open. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution as there is now a lot of slush and water on these roads.
The Environment Agency is monitoring the situation closely with respect to the rivers and the present flood guidance statement signals a low risk of flooding from rivers over the weekend.
However, a flood watch is in place for the Eastern Cleddau, North & West Pembrokeshire and rivers Taf and Cynin.
The heaviest rain is expected to clear by Saturday morning but further lighter rain is to be expected at times during the day.
There is, a risk of ice forming on roads during Saturday night and at first on Sunday morning.
