A violent New Year's Day incident at a Haverfordwest public house has led to a licence review at County Hall.
Today's (Thursday's) licence review of the Fishguard Arms in Old Bridge followed an incident on New Years day 2009 at the premises, which resulted in three people being convicted of assault.
Magistrates expressed concern over the absence of any CCTV evidence during the case and raised the issue with the Pembrokeshire County Council licensing authority.
Licensing officer Tony Davies told the sub-committee meeting this morning that an agreement had been reached between Dyfed-Powys Police and the premises licence holder S A Brains & Co Ltd to install CCTV cameras to the police specification within 28 days.
The committee agreed to allow the licence to continue subject to one modification that cameras are installed to the satisfaction of Dyfed-Powys police.
