The Cleddau Bridge is on the verge of closure this afternoon as the structure is buffeted by gusts of up to 54mph.
The threshold for closing the bridge to high sided vehicles is 55mph. Pembrokeshire County Council said that their transport section has positioned school transport buses on the relevant side of bridge in case of closure.
Snow blowing in drifts off the Preselis is causing problems in some roads in north Pembrokeshire (see attached article).
Carers from the authority's social care team have been reporting problems with access to clients in Moylegrove, Maenclochog, Crymych and Tegryn areas.
All clients have been telephoned and there are no urgent issues at present.
