Snow blowing off the Preselis in today's strong winds is causing traffic chaos and school closures.
Winds gusting at around 30MPH are blowing about snow which has already fallen in the past week, creating blizzard-like conditions in north Pembrokeshire.
The B4329 between Haverfordwest and Cardigan is closed. It has been blocked by snow drifting over the Preselis and some cars have already been been abandoned in drifts.
As the road cannot yet be ploughed, road closed signs have been put in place.
There are also reports of four to five foot drifts on the Crymych to Maenachlog Ddu road and drivers are advised to proceed accordingly.
Snow ploughs are working to keep the A487 between Fishguard and Cardigan and the A478 Penblewin to Cardigan road open, where more drithe A487 between Fishguard and Cardigan fting snow is causing problems, especially in Llandissilio.
Ysgol Preseli in Crymych is arranging to close at 1pm, it is the first time the school has been open to some pupils since the end of the Christmas holidays. Transport is being organised.
Carers from Pembrokeshire County Council's social care team are reporting problems accessing clients in the Moylegrove, Maenclochog, Crymych and Tegryn areas.
The council said that it will put arrangements in place for 4x4 vehicles to be loaned from farmers and agricultural contractors in order to reach clients imn those areas.
