As Pembrokeshire starts to thaw out most of the county's schools are open today (Tuesday), however, a handful are closed.
Ysgol Llanyllwydog in the Gwaun Valley is closed today due to the road conditions and severe weather warning issued for Pembrokeshire this afternoon.
Portfield Special School and the autistic units at Pembroke School and Pembroke Dock Community Primary School are closed.
"These establishments serve pupils from all over the county," said a county council spokesman.
"A decision has been made in view of the severe weather warning in place for Pembrokeshire, which presents a risk of extended journey times for these vulnerable children."
Ysgol y Preseli, in Crymych, is open for years 11, 12 and 13 today for the first time in over a week.
Transport is running but may not be able to access all areas. Pupils sitting external exams should make every effort to attend school.
Greenhill School is open to everyone at the normal time today and transport will run at the usual times.
Burton, Fenton, Hakin Infants, are open but are not running breakfast clubs. St Aidens is not running an after school club.
