Motorists in Pembrokeshire endured nightmare journeys home yesterday (Tuesday) after snow caused chaotic scenes on the county's roads.
Hundreds of people were forced to ditch their vehicles on the side of the road while others remained stationary for hours as traffic came to a standstill.
Motorists travelling from Haverfordwest to Milford Haven complained of three and a half hour journeys while one Neyland resident took more than four hours to get home from Pembroke.
Drivers trying to get into Pembroke Dock were forced to leave their cars after Ferry Lane became blocked off and in local supermarkets, shoppers were stuck for several hours as traffic queued to get out.
One Carew resident even admitted to ditching her car in Burton and walking seven miles home.
"I have never seen snow like in Pembrokeshire," said one driver. "I was stuck in Pelcomb for about two hours without moving. Lorries were towing cars up a hill one by one."
