Police are today (Monday) appealing for witnesses to the shooting of a husky dog on farm land near Cardigan.

The dog was shot in fields near the A478 at the Ridgway roundabout in Cardigan, leading to Cilgerran wildlife centre, between 1230pm and 1.30pm in the afternoon of Friday 27th November 2009.

Police are keen to trace a female described as white, tall and of slim build, who was walking a small white coloured dog at the location around the time of the incident.

They are appealing for the woman to come forward. They are also asking any member of the public who may recall seeing anyone walking a husky type dog or a small white dog in the Cardigan locality get in touch.

Officers have said that all information will be treated as confidential.
