The Ocean Lab, in Goodwick, has welcomed Ollie the octopus as a new exhibit.
Cliff Benson and Sea Trust volunteers, along with Pembrokeshire County Council and the Countryside Council for Wales, have improved the centre over the past few months.
Cliff said: “We have worked hard to create interest with giant lobsters and spider crabs, all sorts of fish but I have been desperate to get an octopus.
“I have pestered local fishermen and divers, but to no avail until now.
“I heard a local fisherman had caught an octopus and was keeping it for us. I rushed to the harbour and there it was, a beautiful little octopus.
“We took a couple of photos and then rushed it to the Ocean Lab.”
Cliff added: “I am hoping Ollie will settle in to his new home but if not, we will put him back into the sea. It’s really quite amazing what we see here in Pembrokeshire, from giant whales to a little octopus.”
