Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without The Great Escape.
But the classic film title has a new slant today (Thursday), courtesy of a Pembrokeshire campaign group.
To highlight what it says are contradictions over the badger cull, Pembrokeshire Against the Cull (PAC) will dress as the animals and ‘escape’ over the River Teifi and Preseli hills, out of the cull area. Today (Christmas Eve), a group of PAC supporters will be led off the Welsh Wildlife Centre to safety over the Teifi. The event will begin at 1pm at the wildlife centre car park.
On December 28th, the Preseli Badger Dash, suitable for all ages, starts at noon at Bwlch Gwynt. For details, see pembrokeshire againstthecull.org.uk.
