A rare black baby seal has been found on a Pembrokeshire beach.
A member of Moylegrove coast rescue team reported finding the pup abandoned and in difficulty on Newport Beach just after midday yesterday (Sunday).
Terry Leadbetter from the seal hospital in Milford Haven was contacted and immediately went to the beach.
He confirmed that the seal was a four week old black pup underweight, abandoned and in need of assistance. The animal, who has been named Baldwin, was taken to the seal hospital at Milford Haven.
“This pup is black in colour and a rare breed," said Terry. "I have only seen three of these in my career with seals".
