Dear Editor
In the letter on page 25 of November 18th’s Western Telegraph, Vicky Moller tells readers that the wind turbine produced “1,250kw in its 18 months”. This figure is the rate at which the machine was working, not the amount of energy it produced.
If 1,250 kilowatt hours was meant, it means that the turbine produced, for example, energy for a one-bar electric fire for 1,250 hours.
I think it important that readers should be given accurate facts about wind energy.
